Introduction

Hello Everyone,

this is my first post in this blog, hope it at least entertains you from now on!
The idea is to have weekly posts, so check it out every week!
Let's start with the NBA.
What an off-season we have had, eh?

The Raptors have made some interesting moves, letting Ford go and acquiring O'Neal instead. This is big. With Chris Bosh and O'Neal up front (and bargnani off the bench), Toronto's front court is all of a sudden strong. If you single-handle them you will most likely be in a disadvantage, and if you double them well, you will have to settle for Kapono, Parker, or Calderon shooting three's. Pretty good situation Colangelo has gotten them into! Yes, there are health concerns, but weren't those there already with TJ?
The Spurs have let Brent Barry go. And that will not go unnoticed. His teammates loved him, the fans loved him, the GM loved him. But I guess it was time for both him and the team to move on. The Spurs have a need to get youngER (not young, just younger) and letting Barry go, along with the good chance of Horry not coming back and the possibility of Finley not coming back is the way to do it. And Barry will get plenty of playing time in Houston. Good for him, he deserves it.
In the East, Philadelphia has made some noise, but until I see it, I will not believe it (I said the same thing last season with Boston though, and they turned out pretty good). Detroit needs to shake things up in order to get past Boston this year I believe. So far they have not done anything to prove they care about that.
In the West, the Warriors and Clippers changed so much that they don't even know how it will come out. Hopefully they'll do well, but will Baron Davis have the same Freedom he did in Golden State? We will see. On the other hand, if Houston gets Artest (almost done) they will be stronger, but they will also be a bigger mess. T-mac is one of the most underachievers in the history of the game. So much to work with and never got out of the first round? Are you kidding me? Let's let this guy win please! Houston now has Battier, T-mac, Yao, Scola, Barry, Artest, Laundry, Francis... add a good point guard and that would be one of the best teams in the West, along with San Antonio and the Lakers

Soccer has been a bit quiet lately, mainly because of the Olympics coming up. The Argentinean Clausura starts next week, so we'll have a preview of it in the next post.
The Messi situation was very sad. But luckily it ended with him in his National Team. Let's stop with this actions. Barcelona should be fine for all the troubles it generated. No more comments on that.

Federer lost in Cincinati and Nadal has now freedom to claim the #1 spot. Will he be able to do it? let's wait till Sunday

See you next week!
